- What is the difference between GL-4 and GL-5 manual transmssion fluid.
- Redline sells two manual transmission lubricants for the Mazda miata.
- One is MT-90 which is a 75w90 GL-4 and the second is a 75w90NS GL-5.
- The NS stands for no slip and they said it has a higher viscosity than
- the GL-4. Someone else told me that GL-4 was of higher viscosity than
- GL-5. Are there any inherant advantages of GL-4 vs GL-5 or GL-5 vs
- GL-4. The Miata Manual indicates that either GL-4 or GL-5 can be
- used.
