  18. Not all nodes carry the same groups, but here we have a group:

  20. It isn't as active as it could/should be, but if you're new to DTP you
  21. will find it helpful.  You did not say if you were using a MAC or PC.  The
  22. group is heavily MAC-oriented, but worth looking into.  Good luck.

  24. Oh, if you want THE best book, look at _Desktop Publishing by Design_
  25. (second edition) by Ronnie Shushan and Don Wright.  There are two versions,
  26. one for Ventura and one for Pagemaker.  The Pagemaker version is for both
  27. Mac and PC users.  It has good coverage of DTP design and theory as well as
  28. lots of Pagemaker how-to info.  It also has some good makeover examples.
