- I'm trying to prepare myself for some car insurance shopping. I assume that
- car insurance companies will get a "traffic violations report" of a client
- before issuing a new policy. So here are my questions:
-
- Where do car insurance companies get traffic violations reports?
- Are they inquiring in the state of application or is there a federal bureau?
- Where can the consumer (me) get his/her report?
-
- I suspect that the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, a State office, could provide
- such a report, but I've been unable to reach a living being there so far.
- (During office hours their line is always busy).
-
-
- Many thanks for any advice and sorry if this is a FAQ.
