- Dear Senator Moynihan:
-
- Latest news suggests renewed action in Iraq. Obviously,
- Bush's "war thing" is considered effective political strategy: It
- worked for Margaret Thatcher in the Falkands, for Ronald Reagan in
- Granada, for Bush in Panama and once in Iraq (and perhaps a second
- go 'round in Iraq). We urge you and your colleagues to IMMEDIATELY
- demand from this President and his own private military machine
- (funded with our unaccounted for tax dollars) to present to the
- Senate, sources, facts and figures surrounding the new threats that
- alledgedly risk our "national security". How many lives have to be
- sacrificed on the altar of American Democracy before the CIA is
- abolished? We dare not count the carnage. This current outrage by
- the CIA to provoke Iraq should strengthen your efforts to eliminate
- this "other government" once and for all. We applaud your efforts.
-
- Sincerely,
-
- Mary Lou Pedersen and LaVerne Hickey
