  24.      Attack on a new subsidiary of Burger King in East-Berlin

  26. Friedrichshain. Aproximately one hundred persons carried out an
  27. attack on the Burger King subsidiary in Friedrichshain on Tuesday
  28. night.  Shortly before midnight the group fired flares and threw
  29. stones through the windows of the fast food restaurant on
  30. Frankfurter Alee. There was considerable damage, but no injuries.
  31. Employees, involved in the preperations for the opening, fled into
  32. the back rooms. A police patrol car observing the events called
  33. for backup. In a short time around forty uniformed and plain
  34. clothed officers met at the scene. The group then threw stones at
  35. the radio car and fled. The police were unable to make any
  36. arrests. In spite of the destruction the subsidiary oppened as
  37. planned. This is the first restaurant of the fast food chain
  38. Burger King on the East side of the city. taz
