  11. I had an emacs sitting in VM on my terminal at home.  I went in to work,
  12. read mail there, came home, and typed "g" without remembering to quit VM
  13. first.  Guess what, it got my new mail and saved my inbox without ever
  14. noticing that the version on disk was newer than the version it had in
  15. the buffer.  Happy happy.  Joy joy.  Luckily I was able to pull my
  16. messages back from the jaws of death because I have emacs make backup
  17. versions every time it saves, but there would seem to be a call to
  18. verify-visited-file-modtime missing somewhere...
