  18. One quick & dirty way to use a modem that you have no Dialer for is
  19. to use the Hayes 1200 , because it sends very little and expects almost
  20. nothing back.  It doesn't attempt to set the modem to any particular
  21. speed (it doesn't think it can!), so your modem will just do what
  22. it can.

  24. Really you should modify it (/usr/lib/uucp/Dialers unless you are really
  25. old Xenix) to send/expect what you want.
