  24. While this will often work in theory, what usually happens is that there are
  25. a few hundred "I don't have ftp access" or "I do not get that group, could
  26. someone e-mail them to me" messages that follow up the post announcement.
  27. While the volume will probably be less than the total of the FAS driver, it
  28. is a bit annoying to go through all the followup postings.  Of course what
  29. one should do is subscribe to the proper source groups (which is what I do).
  30. But there always seem to be newbees that get a couple groups and think that
  31. is all they need.

  33. By the way, I also pay *PERSONALLY* for news (the phone call), so I can
  34. appreciate the point of view.
