- Isn't a Sparc 1+ even slower than an IPC? On my IPX with 32mb running 4.1.2,
- I routinely have another person logged in running sporadically cpu-intensive
- stuff like troff ... and I don't even notice unless I look at logged in users!
- There are also software builds running on the machine once in a while, and
- I barely even notcie them! However on my 486/33 (ISA), anything that
- requires disk access really slows down the whole machine (Adaptec 1542b,
- multiple scsi disks).
