  13. ISC 3.0 and probably other unices have support for CD-ROM drives.  The
  14. good news is that every CD-ROM around uses the standard ISO file format,
  15. so you can read the files under Unix.  The bad news is that every CD-ROM
  16. around also comes with a unique grotty little program to decode the
  17. contents of the files, so if you can't run it you can't make much sense
  18. out of what's in the files.  With luck, you might coax it to work under
  19. vp/ix or Merge, but it'll be an exercise in frustration.
