- I am trying to get the X11R4 binaries to work on my 386 box that is
- running AT&T System V release 3.2 version 2.1. If I run X, it gives
- me the following error
- $ X386
- Creating TCP socket: No such file or directory
- >- It then goes into some kinda graphics mode (can hear monitor re synch)
- >- and then gives the following message
- Memory fault - core dumped
- $
- Yes, X386 and X are both setuid to root, all the files are there, there
- are virtual terminals available, vtlmgr is running, but the virtual terminal
- stuff doesn't seem to matter one way or the other...
- Has anybody gotten X386 to run on this box? Or, can SVR3.2.2 even run X?
- Any help would be appreciated...
