- I am trying to get the X11R4 binaries from flop.informatic.tu-muenchen.de
- to work on my 386 running AT&T System V release 3.2 version 2.1
- When I use xinit to start X, I get the following error:
- XIO: fatal IO error 5 (I/O error) on X server "L "
- after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
- And it leaves a core dump in the directory... which when I use gdb on
- it: the following is told to me...
- (gdb) core core
- Core was generated by `X'.
- #0 0x29f9e in ?? (Cannot access memory at address 0x2bab4.
- (gdb)
- and it gives the same memory address every time!
- Does anybody have any ideas on how I could get this working?
- Please send email to jason@oaknet.chi.il.us
- and I will summarize to the net.
- Thanks,
