  10. I am trying to get the X11R4 binaries from flop.informatic.tu-muenchen.de
  11. to work on my 386 running AT&T System V release 3.2 version 2.1
  12. When I use xinit to start X, I get the following error:
  13. XIO:    fatal IO error 5 (I/O error) on X server "L       "
  14.     after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
  15. And it leaves a core dump in the directory... which when I use gdb on
  16. it: the following is told to me...
  17. (gdb) core core
  18. Core was generated by `X'.
  19. #0  0x29f9e in ?? (Cannot access memory at address 0x2bab4.
  20. (gdb)
  21. and it gives the same memory address every time!
  22. Does anybody have any ideas on how I could get this working?
