- Let's not forget the telephone lines!! I had an expensive system badly
- damaged this way. I had all sorts of protection on my power, but when
- lightning hit the tree in my front yard, both my phones and modem and part
- of my PC were damaged. There are lightning arrestors on telephone lines
- coming in, but a hit that close can generate electricity in the wires in
- your house. It also "Gaussed up" every TV in the house :-)
