- In attempting to write the X11R5 device driver for the Diamond Stealth,
- I am running into a brick-wall. The problem and a well known problem
- is that Diamond chose to use a propieratory mechanism for setting the clock
-
- They promised to deliver the information to me but till I don't see I will
- remain skeptical.
-
- Due to the clock feature, other X11R5 programmers experience with the S3 chipset, have recommended using the Orchid or Farenhiet S3 based cards.
-
- Diamond may release all the information on how to program their cards. there
- is a good possibility for this as some postings have indicated Diamond's
- intentions.
-
- My concern is if they do, then when will I get the information?
-
- From my point of view, If don't get my information by this friday
- I will be more than happy to take the card back and get something
- like an Orchid S3 based card.
-
- Hope this helps,
- Amancio Hasty
