- Hi,
- My setup:
- 386DX 33MHz
- AMI BIOS (04/09/90)
- fd0: 1.44MB
- fd1: 1.2MB
- RAM: 4M
- wd0: MAXTOR 7040 AT (40MB IDE)
- wd1: MAXTOR 7040 AT (40MB IDE)
- Two Questions:
- 1) wd1 has three areas that get hard write errors. What do I do?
-
- 2) My disktab entries for the drives reserve 5 cylinders on each drive
- for bad sector mapping. I read that one shouldn't use bac144 with IDE
- drives. Does that mean that I don't need to reserve the 5 cylinders?
