- No, there will be no performance difference if you use the same components.
- However you will almost certainly pay more if you assemble it yourself.

- The advantage of buying it piece-by-piece is that you have precise control over
- what pieces you get. So, if you want the Adaptec 1542B disk controller
- (386BSD's favorite SCSI), or the Diamond Speedstar SVGA card (one of the most
- well known of the X386-supported video cards) you'll know that's
- *exactly* what you're getting.
