- I have experienced what appears to be a problem with NFS on A/UX 3.0. When I
- do a 'newconfig nfs' and restart to invoke, a few days later I start getting
- occasional console messages to the effect that there is a 'portmapper' error.
- Over the next few days the frequency of these console messages increases untill
- it the machine locks up. The Mac is being served two filesystems my a Sun
- 4/330 running SunOS 4.1.1 elsewhere on the network. Untill the Mac locks up
- NFS appears to be functioning properly. Turning off NFS will stop this from
- happening.
-
- Apple's Technical Answerline hasn't been any help. Has anyone experience this
- and figured a solution?
