- Try the "Configure Devices Added After IPL" choice from the "smit
- devices" menu. This will attempt to resync the device, unless the
- machine does not know about the tape drive. If this is the case, try
- bringing the system up with the key in "Service" mode. Make sure the
- tape drive is attached, powered on, and the correct SCSI address. Once
- the system comes up in maintenance mode, just exit and reboot into
- "Normal" mode.

- This should reconfigure the SCSI NVRAM configuration and you should be
- able to see the device.
