  18. Try the "Configure Devices Added After IPL" choice from the "smit
  19. devices" menu. This will attempt to resync the device, unless the
  20. machine does not know about the tape drive. If this is the case, try
  21. bringing the system up with the key in "Service" mode. Make sure the
  22. tape drive is attached, powered on, and the correct SCSI address. Once
  23. the system comes up in maintenance mode, just exit and reboot into
  24. "Normal" mode.

  26. This should reconfigure the SCSI NVRAM configuration and you should be
  27. able to see the device.

  30. the machine alive), please let us know!
