  12. I am now using a RS/6000 340 and am new to AIX 3.2.
  13. Could someone with more experience tell me whether it
  14. is worth using aixwm over mwm/twm, and similarly what
  15. advantages or disadvantages there are in using aixterm
  16. over the more standard xterm? I can not get a feeling
  17. for the AIX "improvements" just by reading man or info
  18. pages.

  20. The man page suggests that aixterm can produce 16 color
  21. output, but I have no idea what uses this feature.

  23. Also, a simple question: how does one scroll a single
  24. or a few lines in a AIX scroll bar? For a large file,
  25. the scroll bar moves text too quickly and most clicks I
  26. have tried jump a page, rather than a few lines, at a
  27. time, which is sometimes awkward for reading. Also
  28. trying is the fact that the scroll bar does not track
  29. the mouse very accurately, so that the scroll bar has
  30. to catch up to the mouse, leading to an overshooting of
  31. the window.
