- Hello, I'm new to this group. I have an IBM RS6000 that I would like
- some help setting up. Right now, you get a login prompt at the console
- and have to type 'xinit' to start windows. I would like to set it up
- with a login window, so the user just enters his username and password,
- and the system is already in windows. I think you can setup an
- XDM session to do this. I tried doing this with an X-terminal logging
- into a Sun system before, but didn't have much luck. Sun wasn't much
- help either. When I asked our IBM rep about it, he said that you can
- do it, but they don't support it. He told me to try the internet, so
- here I am. If anyone out there can help me, send email to:
- syspb@smartstar.com
- If there is another newsgroup I should be using, let me know about
- that too. Thanks.
