  20. This is easy to implement even with older shoeboxes. One only needs to
  21. buy a thumbwheel switch, which needs to be connected to the jumpers on
  22. the e.g. MD21 controller. Then one can select the ID just by 'wheeling'
  23. and not jumpering. I have not looked inside an external Sun drive
  24. enclosure, but would not be surprised if this is how its done there,
  25. too. The switches can be bought for a few dollars a piece.

  27. Maybe some clever entrepreneur comes up with a SCSI ID conversion kit,
  28. complete with instructions, tech support by email etc.?
