  12. Recently there have been articles here about the sparc printer

  14. with the J5 error flashing....

  16. there is a Sun FCO(field change order) out # A0018
  17.  
  18. I don't have it here but is goes as follows

  20. Review FCO A0018 and see if it applies.  If the SPARCprinter serial
  21. number is between 9124806901 and 9124808280, and is p/n 365-1089-01
  22. (365-1089-02 not affected) then replace the printer.

  24. In the US I had customer letters go out to every address where SPARCprinters
  25. were shipped to according to sales order information.

  28. Letters were sent out to all customers who purchased sparc printers telling
  29. of this problem...

  33. this problem usually shows up after replacing a toner cartridge
  34. the fix is very simple..the alternative is that sun will replace the
  35. printer at NO CHARGE...
