  16.     I can not seem to get a dialin connect on any of our sparc stations. We
  17. have been trying on a new IPC and an old sparc 1+ using Supra V.32 modems.
  18. On the IPC the getty refuses to answer the line so that even though a connec-
  19. tion is made one may only communicate by tipping to the IPC port. This results
  20. in a 'talk' style connect where keyboard input goes to the window on the far 
  21. side of each modem.
  22.     The Sparc 1+ getty works fine in that it takes over the port and locks it
  23. but then sends an incoherent string of x's and ~'s to the fare machine rather
  24. than the desired loggin.
  25.     Any enlightenment on this would be greatly appreciated.
