- We have a weird problem - /etc/fstab got zeroed out by a
- little helper so now the IPC comes up with the disk mounted
- read only so I can't fix the file... Rebooting single user
- "reboot -- -s" doesn't help the mount problem.
- In the course of trying to fix this I tried to make a bootable
- partition on the "a" partition of a 1.3gb wren drive but installboot
- won't do it to that disk. I tried 'dd' ing Sun 'a' partition over
- and trased the disk so I will have to re-format.
-
- I aldso tried booting off the cdrom but can't make it work - it
- "ok boot cdrom" fails with 'no memory' - can I use 'add_services'
- to get a recovery system?
- Another angle would be to turn another IPC into a diskless server.
- Can you do that with "add_services"?
-
- Any help can you be?
- thanks,
- hurf
