- This patch claims to fix problems with the ftp binary. However,
- using the new ftp binary with an IBM VM system has this problem:
-
- ftp> dir *.exec
- [output went here]
- remote: *.exec
- 632 bytes received in 0.19 seconds (3.2 Kbytes/s)
- ftp> dir *.exec
- 425 Can't open data connection: Connection already exists
- ftp> dir profile.exec
- 425 Can't open data connection: Connection already exists
- ftp> quit
- 221 Quit command received. Goodbye.

-
- When used with a KA9Q NOS system running on a MSDOS PC, the new ftp
- never prints any response from a "dir *.dat".
-
-
- When used with a Pyramid 90X, it does get output from a "dir *"
- but when issued a second time, takes a LONG while to print the
- results.
-
-
- I reported these problems to Sun, and it was assigned problem
- number D1074755. No callback yet...
-
- I reverted to the original SunOS 4.1.2 ftp binary and my problems went away.
