- Keywords: xauth xhost X

-
- I'm running a stand-alone IPC with Openwin3. The settup is using all
- the defaults as Openwin is installed.
-
- The problem is that when I try to start a vt-emulator (crttool-2.0)
- the following errors are produced:
-
- Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
- Xlib: client is not authorized to connect to server
- Xview error: cannot open connection to window server: :0.0 (server package)
- Also, a message is sent to the console (which appears across the bottom
- of the screen -a seperate problem):
-
- Rejected connection from W8HD (127.0.0.1)
-
- Below this is a line suggesting man pages xhost and xauth....
- These have not proven helpful...
-
- The X apps supplied with the system work fine.
-
- If I issue a list command to xauth I get:
-
- W8HD:0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 42e06417c76dfb55cef90cb39acc28af
- W8HD/unix:0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 42e06417c76dfb55cef90cb39acc28af
-
- Any ideas here would be greatly appreciated.
