- I've got an ELC that won't run its self-test or boot up.
-
- I was trying to bring the machine up, and because I'm not familiar with the
- machine I typed
-
- b sd(0,3,0)
-
- which gave me a message to type "b sd()", however, I misread this message and
- typed
-
- b /sbus/esp@0,800000/sd@3,0
-
- by mistake.
-
- This is what "b sd()" was supposed to save me from typing (more or less). When I
- did this the screen went black and the machine has not come up since. We've
- tried rebooting in a number of different ways, including in a different chassis.
- The machine has never even gone so far as do a self test. All we get is a beep,
- a quick flash of the keyboard lights and then the black screen.
-
- Is it possible that I've messed up the eeprom doing with my mistake? Is there
- any easy way of determining that the eeprom is corrupted?
-
- Thanks,
