  15. I'm having problems in booting up a Sun 3/110 from a hard disk running SunOS 4.1
  16. Here are the messages from the console:

  27. I have tried to boot it from another disk that was a copy of a 3/60 machine. It
  28. failed with the same messages. I'm quite sure there are no problems with the
  29. disks themselves because they can be mounted normally as non-bootable disk. Now
  30. I suspect that this may be caused by bad installboot files (am I right?). Here
  31. are the checksums (produced by running 'sum') for the /usr/mdec files:

  47. The disk is Micropolis ESDI 382 MB (part no. CS0006-01-6A) with Emulex
  48. controller card (assy no. MD211 6203-04). This disk was bought from Sun and has
  49. Sun logo on the case.

  51. I would appreciate it very much if anybody could help me with this problem,
  52. apart from replacing it with Sparcs (we already have a few of them).
