- We recently applied a series of kernel patches to a network of SunOS
- 4.1.1 Sparcstations. The patches were 100075-08, 100173-08, 100188-02,
- 100359-04, 100376-04, and 100567-02.
-
- Shortly afterwards, whenever rsh or rcp were used, the following error
- message appeared:
-
- stty: TCGETS: Operation not supported on socket
-
- In the case of rsh the command then executes, but rcp no longer
- works at all (rlogins complete without any problem). But if the rsh
- or rcp is done from an OS 4.1.1 machine to one with OS 4.1.2, there
- is no problem at all and no error message. Is there a further patch
- that needs to be applied, or is there some simple (or complicated)
- fix to the problem?
-
- Thanks in advance -
