  13. We recently applied a series of kernel patches to a network of SunOS 
  14. 4.1.1 Sparcstations.  The patches were 100075-08, 100173-08, 100188-02, 
  15. 100359-04, 100376-04, and 100567-02.

  17. Shortly afterwards, whenever rsh or rcp were used, the following error
  18. message appeared:

  20. stty: TCGETS: Operation not supported on socket  
  21.  
  22. In the case of rsh the command then executes, but rcp no longer
  23. works at all (rlogins complete without any problem).  But if the rsh
  24. or rcp is done from an OS 4.1.1 machine to one with OS 4.1.2, there 
  25. is no problem at all and no error message.  Is there a further patch 
  26. that needs to be applied, or is there some simple (or complicated) 
  27. fix to the problem?
