- One of my disks has started producing a large (about 2 per hour)
- number of (header not found) errors on reads and writes. Does this
- mean that the disk is about to die a gruesome death? It seems to be
- able to recover from most of the errors, but the large number of
- errors is beginning to worry me. Is there anything I can do to avoid
- the impending crash, such as reformatting the disk? By the way the
- disk is controlled by a Xylogics 7053 (xd) controller. Any info would
- be very appreciated.
