  14. A question on setting up a LaserWriter II for use on a Sun ...

  16. My Problem:
  17. I'm trying to set up a LW IIf for shared use between Macs
  18. (all running Sys 7) and our Sun (running 4.1.2). When I
  19. try to print a PostScript doc from the Sun to the LW, the
  20. 'busy' light flashes but no output is produced (the
  21. same doc prints ok from a Mac). My /etc/printcap seems
  22. ok - when I view the output sent by lpr on a terminal attached
  23. to the printer line nothing looks amiss. For now, I'm only interested
  24. in printing PostScript files on the Sun, plain text can wait.

  26. My Question:
  27. Does the LW require some sort of set-up job like LaserPrep
  28. (which is automatically downloaded on a Mac) before a print job?
  29. If so, can someone give me some pointers on where to find this
  30. info?
