- When running sysadm on an SGI workstation which is the master NIS
- server for a group of SGI workstations and attempting to add a new
- user I get the following message:
-
- Yellow Page entry not in the master passwd file.
- Please update your master passwd file and try again.
-
- Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone in the audience have a shell
- script to allow creating a new NIS account without having to manually
- edit the master passwd file each time?
