- Otto,
-
- If I were in your shoes, and wanted to get the CD rom bundle, I would
- get it from the states, and even if you have to pay taxes and duties,
- you will save money from what the cost will be in Europe.
-
- As for warranty, if you buy it from a NeXT dealer in the USA, it
- must be serviceable by any NeXT dealer in the world. NeXT once
- told me otherwise, which is the only reason I bought my machin ein
- Europe, but a little legal digging has shown this to be false.
-
-
- All: The difference in price between Europe and the USA is a horrible
- fact of life. For about double the price in Europe, you get the
- convenience of having a "nearby" dealer to handle your queries.....if
- you're not fussed about this as an issue, then do as I do, and buy
- direct.
-
- I just came back from Honeymoon in the USA and Canada and am very
- disheartened by the difference in prices between NeXT US and NeXT
- Europe/UK.
-
- I'm sure that NeXT is doing everything they can to stay competitive
- with other European companies, but that isn't enough for a computer
- that is advertsied as a world wide solution.
-
- Scott
- My opinions alone.
