- You don't necessarily *lose* anything. Things that are not part of the 3.0
- release (e.g., Icon, DSP stuff) are -by default- deleted as part of the upgrade
- process. However, it is very friendly about it, and you can search through the
- list of changes and tell it NOT to delete stuff.

- The main thing you utterly lose is compatibilty *with NeXTstep 1.0*. That is,
- the interim-compatiblity that 2.0 provided (e.g., self = [super new]
- everywhere) for 1.0 will not be in 3.0. This can get you if you have really
- old software. It didn't affect anything I have, though, so there probably isn't
- much common software out there which is still 1.0 (NX_VOID comes to mind :-).

- NeXTSTEP 3.0 is assuredly one of the least painful releases I have ever heard
- people talk about it. Now if only they finally ship the darn thing...
