  15. At the Dept. of Informatics we are going to give a course based on
  16. "Computer Architecture, A Quantitative Approach" by Hennessy and
  17. Patterson.

  19. I would like students to use other tools in addition to DLX. We have
  20. SPAT (SPARC Performance Analysis Tools), but it would be nice to use
  21. our MIPS based DECStations as well. To do this I need (to write) a
  22. little program that takes a trace generated via pixie as input and
  23. outputs a trace that dinero (the cache simulator) can read.

  25. So, can somebody please tell me how (if possible) I can convert traces
  26. generate via pixie and input them into dinero, i.e., how do I
  27. interpret the traces.
