- What I find that usually happens is the speaker gets shorted out because
- of contact with the mother board. Just take off the top of the case, and
- press down on the contacts to the speaker with a small screwdriver. The
- contacts are pieces of metal located just to the rear of the board. In
- shipping, or in common usage the board will touch these contacts. A screw
- in the corner of the motherboard next to these contacts would solve this
- problem. BTW there's already a hole predrilled were it would be needed, but
- no plastic socket on the case to screw it in. Did apple know of this
- problem before maybe??? Your guess is as good as mine. :-)
