- Actually there are a few, I think MacX is the most popular, and I
- believe you can get if from Apple.

- For long technical documents and textbooks, many people consider
- FrameMaker the DTP Application of choice.

-
- If he is planning on using a DTP app like FrameMaker then he should
- seriously consider getting one of the modular Macs so that he can use a
- larger monitor. For any serious DTP you need screen acreage.

-
- No, an FPU does not come installed on the motherboard of the LCII,
- but you can purchace a card to go into the single expansion slot that
- contains an FPU.

- Actually I would recommend going for a Laserwriter IIf.

-
- Well, I would recommend the Quadra, mostly because when you compare
- purchasing a IIci and a decent graphics card you have basically made up
- the difference in price between the IIci and the Quadra. As for
- accelerators, that depends on whether you want an 040 or 030
- accelerator. I would probably recommend the Daystar 50MHz w/FPU. I
- really flies, especially on an SE/30.
