  12. Lately, I've been seeing Macintoshes running System 7 and System 7 tuner
  13. with a most unusual problem.  Instead of the usual "specialized" icons
  14. (like the "V" shield for Disinfectant 2.9), there's only a blank
  15. extension-type icon.  Other files have been similarly affected (MS Word
  16. documents have a blank document icon).  I have no idea as to what is
  17. causing this.  Rebuilding the desktop gets rid of the problem for a while,
  18. but I have seen this problem resurface on at least two Macintoshes.
