- This is wrong. I am not sure who you talked to at Claris, but certainly
- some of their support people are aware of a commercial product called "Rescue"
- from Nine to Five Software.

- This is a good product, but it does have some limitations. Primarily,
- it is intended to recover only the "data" from stacks. That is, it will recover
- all the text contained in background fields as well as the hilite state of
- background buttons that have the "SharedHilite" setting turned off.

- It will not, however, recover text in the card layer, nor will it recover scripts,
- graphics, object information such as button/field locations, etc. It
- is intended only to get at the data in the stack.

- Since Rescue works by scanning the remaining file structure of damaged
- stacks, it will recover data from stacks that can not be opened
- by HyperCard.
