- I talked with a guy at he NZ distributors a couple of weeks ago,
- and he quoted me the following:
-
- LC + 33MHz PowerCache = IIci
- LC + 40MHz = IIfx
- LC + 50Mhz = they hadn't tried one, but
- Quadra speed maybe?
-
- This was based on his experiments with the card, not advertising
- info or anything like that

- This guy had an old Mac II with a 40MHz PowerCache, and he
- claimed that he'd had no software compatibility problems
- whatsoever. You might find compatibility problems with some of
- the more obscure software -- most mainstream stuff should be OK.
- I didn't ask about hardware compatibility.

- Should be.

- The si has more expandibility (NuBus capability as you've already
- stated), a higher RAM capacity (17Mb as opposed to 10Mb on the
- LC), and more options on the internal video (i.e. you can drive
- more types of monitors straight out of the box).
