- I have an external SCSI floppy drive, the Turbo Floppy 1.4, from
- Peripheral Land Inc. I have talked to their customer support and
- they claim that this device is System 7 compatible. However, I note that
- in the Mac WareHouse catalog, it is not marked with the little 7 symbol.
- In fact, none of their products are - even hard drives that I know will
- work with System 7 given the appropriate driver. Howver, PLI claims that,
- as is, the Turbo Floppy 1.4 *IS* System 7 compatible. There is no software
- driver supplied with it, just an INIT to provide the ability to read MS-DOS
- disks.
- I would like to move to System 7, but if I have to get the HD floppy
- upgrade to my internal (800 K) floppy drive, I would prefer to know that
- now rather than after upgrading. System is a Mac II with the Daystar
- Digital Powercache 50 MHz accelerator.
- Please email and I will summarize if there appear to be interest to
- warrant it. Thanks for any advice!
