  10. Where is a good place to buy an Apple Laserwriter II printer?  We have
  11. one that came from one of our European offices that runs on 220v.  I
  12. took it to the shop, and after about a month of ordering parts the
  13. repair bill will be $1700 to convert it to 110v.  We could buy a new
  14. printer at a local shop for about $2400, that would have a warranty.

  16. Does anybody have suggestions for a vendor that would sell one for
  17. less?  I looked in Computer Shopper, and most of the printers there
  18. are for PC's.  I heard that HP made some Apple compatible printers,
  19. but what model is it?

  21. If anyone knows a repair place that would convert it cheaper than 
  22. $1700 at our local shop, let me know.  Also, if anyone is interested
  23. in buying the 220v printer, send me email.  I don't know if it works
  24. now, but it did before they shipped it.  We only have 110v, so there
  25. is no way to plug it in and test it.  I will have to ask the boss
  26. before we sell can sell it.  It will probably be cheap and 'as is'.

  28. One note, they also sent us a Mac IIx and an Apple Scanner with the 
  29. printer.  The Mac IIx is autoconfiguring.  You just plug it in, and
  30. it automatically switches from 110v to 220v with out doing anything.
  31. The Scanner had a dial with different voltages you could select.
