- Just a note here, I've been talking to Northgate, makers of *very*
- well regarded keyboards for IBMs for years now. They once sold the
- "Omnikey ULTRA/Mac" which they had to pull from the market because of
- compatability problems. They are quite close to reintroducing it, just
- a couple of weeks according to the most recent call back that I
- received.
- These are like extended keyboards but have an additional set of
- function keys where the function keys had been located on old IBM 84
- key keyboards. I believe that the extra keys are treated as SHIFT+
- function keys by software so that they will work with QuickKeys etc..
- Many people swear by Northgate's keyboards and they are a popular
- aftermarket item over in DOS land.
