- There's a product called 'Jackie' which will take four of any size (low
- profile) SIMM onto a little card which in turn plugs into another single
- SIMM socket; thus you can turn 4 256k SIMMs into the equivelant of one
- 1Mb SIMM, or, for that matter, 4 4Mb SIMMs into one 16Mb SIMM. It's only
- available so far as I know to suit the IIcx and _maybe_ the IIci, since
- it needs the full height of the case on these machines to squeeze in
- four SIMMS. There is another version for the Mac II/IIx, which is a
- board with about 20 SIMM sockets on it that plugs into your existing
- SIMM sockets. Jackie is manufactured by Glanmire Electronics here in
- sunny Ireland; try calling +353-1-286 0148 or fax +353-1-286 1669.
-
- Oh yes, I think it's expensive...
-
- Disclaimer: I don't have anything to do with Glanmire, I just
- happen to know about Jackie.
