- While reading article <par-110892162810@mac124.ugadm.nwu.edu>, I noticed that
- par@nwu.edu (Pete Rodriguez) said the following:
- >Are 256K SIMMS good for anything? I've got 10 of these things just
- >collecting dust in a closet. Can anyone think of anything to do with these
- >things?
-
- They're great for confusing the (apparently) computer illiterate. For example,
- I upgraded my Mother-In-Law's SE to 4 Mb and so had four 150ns 256K SIMMs. My
- wife took them to work and jokingly put up a sign saying "Free Memory. If you
- can use it, take it." Someone did...
-
- (Unless whoever took them is planning to make key fobs out of them...)
