  12. From some of the messages posted around here recently, I gather that
  13. Intel has announced that there will be no more development of the i860
  14. line. This is somewhat surprising, since the 860 has been used as a
  15. high-speed FP processor in many designs, but I guess most of them
  16. were rather low-volume. Anyway, is there anybody out there who can
  17. confirm this "for sure"? Does this simply mean that no new members of
  18. the family will appear in the future, or is Intel going to drop support/
  19. manufacturing of the devices? Pointers to articles relating to this would
  20. also be appreciated.
