- I just purchased an RT 125 and installed AIX 2.2.1 and
- all the latest updates. It came with a Matrox graphics
- board coupled with a 1280x1024 screen.
-
- I'm interested in knowing what is available for the
- little guy: I only have X11R3 and I'm seeing everyone
- asking about X11R5 (... I'd be happy with X11R4).
-
- Are there any user-groups for RT's? I tried getting
- GNU's gcc-2.2.2 to install, but the RT doesn't seem to
- be one of the supported devices??
-
- The equipment was cheap (surplus for employees), but
- now I'm wondering if maybe I goofed!? Judging from
- the problems with X11R5 and my experience with gcc,
- I'm getting the feeling that AIX 2.2.1 is a doomed
- environment, abandoned for eternity.
-
- I'd appreciate any info on the status of RT's in general
- and on any sources of software that support it (I'm
- an applications software person, not a systems guy).
-
- Cheers,
-
