  14. I just purchased an RT 125 and installed AIX 2.2.1 and
  15. all the latest updates. It came with a Matrox graphics
  16. board coupled with a 1280x1024 screen.

  18. I'm interested in knowing what is available for the
  19. little guy: I only have X11R3 and I'm seeing everyone
  20. asking about X11R5 (... I'd be happy with X11R4).

  22. Are there any user-groups for RT's?  I tried getting
  23. GNU's gcc-2.2.2 to install, but the RT doesn't seem to
  24. be one of the supported devices??

  26. The equipment was cheap (surplus for employees), but 
  27. now I'm wondering if maybe I goofed!?  Judging from
  28. the problems with X11R5 and my experience with gcc,
  29. I'm getting the feeling that AIX 2.2.1 is a doomed
  30. environment, abandoned for eternity.

  32. I'd appreciate any info on the status of RT's in general
  33. and on any sources of software that support it (I'm
  34. an applications software person, not a systems guy).
