- I have been having little luck with the Rice binaries, and I have a
- megapel. This may be because I do not have the latests revs of the
- OS and TCP/IP. I also do not have this rgb file or directory.
-
- > Couldn't open RGB_DB '/usr/site/X11R5/lib/X11/rgb'
-
- so even though I have the links right, I get the message. I tried
- moving the the rgb stuff from a Sun to there, and that got the server
- working for me-- although some colors are not quite right.
-
- Could someone please tell me how I can get the right rgb files for
- the megapel?
-
- Anyway, xinit still says "killed" but I can get the server running
- and use the thing as an X terminal. But there are still problems.
- For example, xterms that try to ring the bell (control-g) die.
-
- I wish I knew more about X windows (do I really?...). All I want is
- to make the RT into an X terminal, but it's hard to set up!
-
- Cheers and please let the net know of your successes with this.
