-
- It is undoubtedly a good question, but it is logically out of
- context in comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d. And now I don't mean the
- ever-lurking off-topic / on-topic debacle.
-
- The simple fact is that per definition the comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d
- newsgroup (where this has been crossposted) only concerns PD &
- shareware programs. (Strictly speaking cbip.d only concerns the
- programs posted as binaries in comp.binaries.ibm.pc). The same PD &
- shareware aspect certainly goes for the sister newsgroup
- comp.binaries.ibm.pc.wanted where a great number (if not the
- majority) of the looking for questions come up. So the former
- question is the logically right one as far as the cbip hierarchy is
- concerned.
-
- But as far as comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc and comp.os.msdos.apps are
- concerned of course the question is relevant and logical, because
- these newsgroups are supposed to, and do, cover also the fully
- commercial programs.
