- A collegue of mine is planing travel to the Moscow (Russia) archives.
- Copiers are few and far between and even if you supply the paper the
- athorities may take the paper and not let you make copies anyway.
- Her solution is to take a scaner hooked to her Toshiba laptop (unknown model)
- and scan in the documents she needs. She intends to leave the scaner there
- when she leaves.
- Questions:
- Is there a DOS Optical Character Recognition program that can read Russian?
- Does anyone have any recomendations on a robust, reliable, and lugable scaner?
- Is this even practical?
-
- Please respond by E-Mail as I dont read this group.
- Thanks to all in advance.
